Plessy's Dissenting Opinion might have not changed the decision of the case but it sure did gave people a different view. A dissenting opinion is an opinion on a legal case that disagrees with the majority decision. In this case Judge Harlan disagreed with the majority opinion. He thought that the outcome of the case was not constitutional have been changed. Basically the opinion he gave was an attempt to try to change society on their manner of thinking. He might have not changed the out come of the next two cases, but down the road he might have influenced the outcome of some other cases. In my personal opinion what Judge Harlan did was something that requires a lot of courage to just oppose to the rest of the people and should be more recognized than how it is seen today. I mean for all we know he could have been shot because of the opinion he gave on this topic.
